Just a question... doesnt mist form stop them dealing damage.. not make them miss. Therefore, does trapping with it actually have a use (if it made them miss i would get it).
As for good uses.... it used to be pretty dam good for farming physical mobs... in pvp the application is low. You have no prot to stripping, eles, mesmers, necros, etc. Spells basically.. which consititute a large portion of the game.

its decent in ra especially for monks seeing as they are nearly always the first target and warriors do keep hitting...
although my ele made some nice use of it as well. Only problem is that your still wide open to interruption. If it also stopped interruption it would be a godly skill. Well that and the lack of proper energymanagement hurts... but whats new on the ele front anyway...
edit: ravjzek add point blank fireskills with a quick recharge. As long as you keep fire attunement up it works decently. Although in most cases a simple eartbuild is easier...

You can still get knocked down and interrupted and so on, and get your enchantments stripped, and get degenned, and get hit by spell damage.
Permanent Mist Form doesn't really have as many uses as one would think.
One thing one might think of trying is Mist Form vs. Blessed Griffons.
Well, I can describe the effects of that endeavor in three words:
Smite Hex. Whoops.

Mist Form isn't a hex but an enchantment.
I don't really see much use of a perma Mist Form excepting farming Griffons outside of Destiny's Gorge...

Sorry, I left out a key part getting the story down to three words:
Frozen Burst is the obvious AoE damage spell to try if you are solo farming against meleers with Mist Form.
Frozen Burst IS an AoE hex.
Smite Hex is not fun in response.
Unless you're one of the griffons, of course.

I think you could use this for a 2-man UW or FOW build with a ss necro. Ele for tanking obviously, but you would have to take a one hit kill spell for the shadows in UW. In FoW the mesmers would be the only problem. Just something to think about.

The only single use i've found for Mist Form was running the droks run using my ele. Other than that its an utter waste of space. How the hell this spell is considered elite when you can still be interrupted with physical attacks i'll never know. Concussion Shot w/ Mist Form = 0 damage + Dazed last i checked. Its a pathetic skill.

I use it to farm Minotaurs, not too profitable but it helps me get anything I want for PvP (apart from a HoD sword...)
You need 16 water and 12 WS, so there's not much point in speccing in anything else, most you can get is 6 points (2 superiors).
